Albright Family Dental ("we," "us," "our") operates albrightfamilydental.com and our online appointment booking page. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you book an appointment online, we collect the information you enter on the booking form: your name, date of birth, mobile phone number, email address if you provide one, your reason for visiting, and your insurance information if you choose to supply it. We also collect basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit on our site.
If you call, email, or visit the practice, we collect the information you give us in the course of scheduling and providing dental care.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to schedule and confirm your appointment, create or update your patient record in our practice management system, contact you about your care, and meet our legal and professional obligations as a dental practice.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Text messages (SMS)
Consent. If you check the consent box on our booking form, you agree to receive text messages from Albright Family Dental at the mobile number you entered. Consent is not a condition of receiving dental care — you can always book by calling the office instead.
What we send. A one-time verification code to confirm your mobile number, and a confirmation of your appointment date and time. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. You will typically receive one to two messages per booking.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for text messages.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. Reply HELP for help, or call the office at (425) 267-3333.
We do not share your mobile number. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS consent, and consent itself, are not sold, rented, shared, or otherwise disclosed to any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Your number is disclosed only to the messaging provider that delivers the text on our behalf, and only for the purpose of delivering that message.
How we share information
We share your information only as needed to run the practice and provide care:
- With our practice management software and messaging provider, who process data on our behalf under agreements limiting their use of it
- With your dental insurance carrier, when you ask us to bill them
- With other health care providers involved in your care, with your authorization
- When required by law
Protected health information
Some of the information we hold is protected health information governed by HIPAA. Our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at the front desk and on request, describes your rights regarding that information in more detail. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission of data submitted through our booking form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this obligation seriously.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct your information, stop texting you, or provide a copy of the information we hold about you. Call the office and we will help.
Children
Our booking form is intended for use by adults. A parent or guardian may book on behalf of a minor patient using the parent or guardian's own contact information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
