#1: Wear a Mouthguard

Each year, many dentists find numerous dental injuries caused by sports. Since most of these activities involve intense physical contact, it’s always wise to wear a mouthguard. This can help cushion your smile and prevent accidents like chipped, cracked, or even knocked-out teeth. Without the protection, you could risk needing more costly dental treatments in the future.

#2: Brush & Floss Your Teeth Daily

Seeing your dentist every six months is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy smile. Your dentist will be able to detect any developing issues in your mouth and provide the necessary treatment early on. This is especially necessary if you already have some or minor tooth damage, which may require more expensive treatments or even tooth removal if left untreated.
